my friend mona told me that one of the most important thing in raising houseplants is that they don't like sitting in their own water. if the pots you have don't allow them to drain they may be developing some sort of root rot. if you can increase the circulation of water through the pot and maintain moisture with out allowing stagnant water they might feel happier.

also singing to them helps
I feed mine human flesh...seems to sate them well.
or....maybe you could try watering them. give them a little fertilizer, make them happy
boogers and fingernails. works wonders for mine. and singing to them, like eli said.
